Hi and welcome to my first blog series at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy.

I’ll be joining the JFGA team over the course of the next 11 months and will be catching-up with our students & team, outside of their busy golf schedules, to find out more about them, their golfing progress and experience.

In my first blog, I will be talking with Chloe de Verner about her recent success at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy and how she recently was covered by one of Monaco’s most prestigious magazines – CodeSport.

Make sure to follow us on our socials where we’ll be sharing all the most recent news from the JFGA Academy and check back fortnightly to read my latest blog.

Ben’s Blog – JFGA Triple A Elite Student Chloe de Verner

At The Jason Floyd Golf Academy, developing our student’s abilities through our bespoke Triple A Elite Golf Programme has enabled many students to achieve their dreams of combining golf and education to a pathway to University. This programme is designed for 16 to 18-year-olds who have an interest in golf, combining both golf and education allows our students to earn golf scholarships to Universities in America or to join professional tours after schooling.

This year, many of our students have progressed into their final year of study and we are looking forward to guiding them on the best pathway to choose a university that aligns with their ambitions.

Recently our Triple A World Series Winner and Triple A Elite final year student, Chloe de Verner, had the opportunity to be covered by the prestigious Monaco sport magazine, CodeSport. In her interview with CodeSport, Chloe said that winning the Jason Floyd Golf Academy – Triple A World Series and receiving the Order of Merit has been a highlight of her current success at the Academy. Chloe acknowledges how the Jason Floyd Golf Academy has had a positive impact on her abilities in the article and she discusses the various opportunities students get each week to work on their golfing game, such as playing on The San Roque – Old Course & New Course.

We have attached the original article below for any of our readers that would like to check it out in more detail and will provide a direct link at the bottom of this page.

Catching up with Chloe at the academy this week, I had the opportunity to speak with her in-between her training at the academy about her future ambitions and advice for girls hoping to use golf as an excellent way to get a golf scholarship with some of the best golfing universities in the U.S.

So, Chloe, how did you feel when you were asked to feature in the magazine?

It was very cool, I was 13 and it was after school, and I was very excited to be honest.

How has your experience at Jason Floyd improved you as a person and your golfing ability?

I feel that from the academy I have gained more discipline and self-control. It helped me to deal with longer days on and off the course. The team have also helped provide me with techniques to have more structured practice and just being able to control my game more when I’m playing.

What are your plans for the future? (Where do you want to be in 5 years)

At university, trying to get a masters and I would also like to still be playing golf.  That would be amazing.

What do you think about women’s golf now, do you think more girls need to get involved in golf?

I think more girls are getting involved as its broadening a lot. I’ve gotten a lot of my friends back home into golf, everyone finds it fun as a little bit of practice and having fun round the golf course. Im finally starting to see more girls becoming athletic and it’s being seen now at a higher level than before especially on the LPGA.

Tell us about about your experience so far at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy. What would you advise to any girls that are interested in joining us?

To do it! For me, I’m not just competing against the girls at the academy. I also want to compete against the boys. When I practice I try to always consider that. That way you’re always competing and pushing yourself in both groups. I find that having this mentality really pushes me to achieve more and I think it has raised my golf game.

Thanks to Chloe for taking the time to speak to us. We’re sure Chloe has great things ahead of her in her final year at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy and we’ll be watching closely as the first Triple A World Series tournament gets underway in October.
