Our next JFGA Triple A World Series event brings us to Real Club Sotogrande. A truly stunning venue in an equally stunning area of the Costa del Sol.

Officially opened in 1964 Sotogrande GC was the first course Robert Trent Jones design in Europe. In 1994 King Juan Carlos presented the “Real” status to Sotogrande Golf Club. It is a venue that is appreciated by all golfers from amateur to professional level.

This golf course has hosted many tournaments including some of history’s most iconic players; Jose Maria Olazabal, Seve Ballesteros, Rory McIlroy, Sergio García, Justin Rose, Padraig Harrington to name a few.

This par 72 golf course measures at 6,492 meters. The tee shots have fairly forgiving fairways; however of “100” bunkers that live on this golf course, “62” of them surround the greens. Which highlights how well protected these flags are.

The greens are fast, elevated and many with reverse tabletop style contouring; all in all it is very easy to throw shots away with unforced errors.

Our Academy founder, Jason Floyd, outlines the feature holes at RCGC. Click the attached link to view this video and see the course in all its glory.

It is a privilege to host our event at this venue, and we look forward to a highly contested competition, where one boy and girl in their respective categories will claim the title as European Invitational Champion.

Best of luck to all competitors!
