There is just under a year to go until the Solheim Cup begins, taking place at Finca Cortesin – one of our neighbouring golf courses here in southern Spain.

To celebrate this amazing event and the first time it has ever been held in Spain, The San Roque Club had the opportunity to host the Solheim Cup trophy over the weekend with Pablo Mansilla, Andalucía Golf Federation President in attendance.

Students at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy were also in attendance, giving them an amazing opportunity to see the prestigious prize that will be awarded in 2023 to the Solheim Cup winners.

This was a fantastic opportunity for the students and staff to be involved in the build-up to the tournament and offered inspiration for our students on their future golf aspirations.

Later this year, our students will have the opportunity to play the same course that the Solheim teams will be competing on next year. The Triple A European Championship will be held on 30 November – 2 December at Solheim Cup host, Finca Cortesin. To book entry and practice round for this WAGR ranked event, click here.

The Triple A World Series offers students at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy and other participates who want to compete in WAGR golf events the opportunity to experience some of the best golf courses in southern Spain. From Finca Cortesin where the talent of Suzann Pettersen and Stacy Lewis will be leading their teams next year to Real Club de Golf, Sotogrande and then to the home of the Jason Floyd Golf Academy and home of the Old Course and New Course.
