The S-MART CUP Final Concludes At The Jason Floyd Golf Academy

The S-MART CUP has ended after two days of challenging WAGR golf in what has been a fantastic series with a dramatic conclusion of knockout golf in the Match Play final.

Yesterday round 3 started with Gustav Ordel, Lenny Koch, Leo Zurovac and Max Feistmantl competed for their chance to play for 1st position in the Final. Starting the day were Gustav vs Lenny and Leo vs Max. Gustav got off to a fast start against Lenny, winning the first 3 holes in succession. Lenny fought hard and was holding his own; however in the end Gustav was able to secure his spot in the final.

Leo & Max ‘s match certainly delivered on drama. Back and forth all the way. Max led standing on the 18th tee and Leo made birdie to force a play off. After 3 additional hoes, Leo Zurovac emerged as the winner and took his position in the final.

These two players have faced each other in numerous occasions over this season and it has always made for exciting scoring and terrific competition. This match was no exception.

Like in his previous matches Gustav was able to establish an early lead and was able to hold on his advantage to secure a 4&3 victory over Leo.

It goes without saying that Leo has had a fantastic season capturing many victories including our Triple A World Series Order of Merit; however on this occasion Gustav came out on top.

Following the conclusion of the S-MART CUP, Christophe Martin, founder of the S-MART CUP Series, joined players at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy for prize giving. Prizes this year included a round of golf at Real Club Valderrama and a personalised Titleist Golf Bag.
