Jason Floyd Golf Academy and Sotogrande International School Student Tiger Christensen the young golfer participated in the prestigious Fairhaven Trophy at Fairhaven Golf Club in Liverpool, England last weekend.

Representing the German National Boys Team, he finished in 2nd place breaking the German National Boys Team pevious record of 3rd.

The 15 year old, competing in the U18 category of one of Junior Amateurs golfs strongest fields showed amazing control in all areas of his game from tee to green carding a final 72 hole score of 5 under par, around an extremely testing golf course.

With two solid opening rounds of level par 72 Christensen stepped on the gas in round 3 shooting a 5 under par 65 to put him right in contention. Another solid round of level par 72 was enough to secure solo 2nd place 2 shots behind the eventual champion England Callum Macfie and one of only 3 players to break par for the tournament.

When asked what was the key to his performance Tiger remarked “I´ ve been working hard on my game for a long time and was able to hit form this week. I felt I had good control over the golf ball which was essential around this golf course, allowing me to leave the ball in the right places all week. I was out of position only a few times and was able to limit the damage when I was, and it always helps when you go through 72 holes without a 3 putt!”

Tiger is becoming a serial performer in the most prestigious Junior Amateur competitions world wide and is certainly a name to keep an eye on for the future!
