Championship Course Exploration: The San Roque Club

One of the highlights of the first week was the chance for students to get to know their fellow golfers while playing on the prestigious Championship Course at The San Roque Club. Amidst the lush greens and challenging fairways, friendships were forged. It was a day of bonding, laughter, and golfing as students took their first steps towards becoming a tight-knit golfing community.

Data-Driven Improvement with Smart2Move Force Plates

The heart of the week’s training lay in the cutting-edge technology employed at the academy. The S2M Dual Force Plates are one of the state-of-the-art technologies used at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy. They allowed the academy’s team to capture Ground Reaction Forces data, providing a personalised understanding of each student’s unique golfing mechanics. This precision measurement is the key to unlocking improved performance, helping students grasp how their bodies generate force in their swings.

TrackMan: Precision Golf Analysis

Data capture continued with TrackMan, a powerful tool that utilises radar technology, that recorded key parameters such as golf swing and ball speed, attack angle, club path, and more. This invaluable data was complemented by inbuilt video camera footage, allowing instructors to provide comprehensive feedback for swing improvement.

V1 Pro HD Camera: The Art of Slow Motion

The week also featured the use of the V1 Pro HD camera system, capturing each student’s swing in Full 1080 HD. This high-frame capture allowed for slow-motion playback, a critical tool in identifying nuances and refining technique. It was through this meticulous examination that the JFGA Golf Instructors will help students hone their skills to perfection.

Short Game Excellence: A Test of Precision

Friday brought an exciting challenge in the form of a short game training session. Putting, chipping, bunker play, and short game range skills were all put to the test. It was an opportunity for students to showcase their precision, finesse, and adaptability, further elevating their golfing abilities.

The KinetiX Strength and Conditioning Advantage

Throughout the week, students had the privilege of working with the KinetiX Strength and Conditioning team. They applied TechToniX and KinetiX testing and training methods to enhance students’ physical golf skills. This holistic approach ensured that students not only mastered the technical aspects of the game but also optimised their physical abilities.

In the span of a single week, students at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy experienced a comprehensive immersion into the world of golf. It was the beginning of a year-long journey where they would continuously refine their skills in the technical, physical, and mental aspects of the game. With unwavering dedication, cutting-edge technology, and expert guidance, these students were on the path to golfing greatness. This was just the first chapter in a story of excellence waiting to be written.
