The International Schools Athletic Association (ISAA) golf tournament approaches! Organised by Sotogrande International School, the tournament will take place on the 24th and 25th of May where the prestigious New Course at The San Roque Club will be the backdrop for this junior golf event. The Jason Floyd Golf Academy is delighted to be associated with the tournament, offering our assistance in helping ISAA and Sotogrande International School. Our dedicated team will be involved in the event, ensuring we are on hand for the participants should they need support or help.

Unleashing the Talent of Junior Golfers:

The ISAA golf tournament will bring together young golfers from various locations, creating a competitive and inspiring atmosphere. At the Jason Floyd Golf Academy, we understand the importance of nurturing talent and providing opportunities for young golfers to showcase their skills. This tournament serves as a platform for these budding athletes to demonstrate their golfing prowess and compete against their peers in a supportive environment.

A Test of Skill: The Stableford Format

The tournament will follow the widely recognised Stableford format, a scoring system that emphasises consistent performance on each hole. Unlike traditional stroke play, where the total number of strokes is counted, Stableford rewards players based on the number of strokes taken relative to a set score for each hole. This format encourages strategic decision-making, as golfers aim to maximise their points and demonstrate their ability to handle the challenges posed by the course.

Categories

The ISAA golf tournament will feature three categories, ensuring fair and engaging competition for all participants. The boys’ category will showcase talent and determination. Similarly, the girls’ category will provide a platform for young female golfers to exhibit their skills on this championship course. Lastly, the team category will foster collaboration and unity, encouraging the junior golfers to work together, support one another, and showcase the power of teamwork on the course.

The Jason Floyd Golf Academy

Similar to the the ISAA golf tournament, the Jason Floyd Golf Academy is committed to supporting the growth and development of junior golfers through our bespoke golf programmes. The academy offers full-time and part-time golf programmes, such as the Triple A Elite Programme and the Triple A Junior Access which support elite junior golfers on  a pathway that enables them to combine golf and education to achieve scholarship opportunities to universities in the United States.

Inspiring the Future of Golf

ISAA is an organisation made up of like minded International Schools that are committed to building an inclusive sporting community that values effective communication, encourages supportive collaboration, celebrates diversity and builds bridges through sporting competition. The ISAA golf tournament holds significance as it showcases the talent and dedication of young golfers. At the Jason Floyd Golf Academy, we believe in instilling a love for the game and fostering camaraderie among participants. By providing our support to events like the ISAA tournament, we hope to inspire and nurture the next elite junior golfers of tomorrow.

Embracing Competition

The upcoming International Schools Athletic Association golf tournament on the San Roque New Course will display the talents of the participating junior golfers, their perseverance, and their sportsmanship. We extend our best wishes to all junior golfers participating in the tournament and encourage them to embrace the spirit of competition, learn from the experience, and forge lifelong memories on the greens.
