The Portuguese Intercollegiate Open and the Atlantic Youth Trophy are two of the most exciting youth golf tournaments in Europe. These tournaments bring together some of the most talented young golfers from around the world to compete in a challenging and dynamic environment.

The Portuguese Intercollegiate Open is held annually in March at the world-class golf course, in Penha Longa, Portugal.

Ranked in the top 30 Courses in Continental Europe and top 10 in Portugal, the 27-hole course at Penha Longa Resort designed by the famed Robert Trent Jones, Jr. is escapist golf at its best. With its bold drives, courageous approaches and artful greens, it is both an adrenalin rush and a soothing journey through one of Portugal’s most inspiring landscapes. Exciting at every turn, this championship challenge and host to the Portuguese Open, is a master test of variety and thrills.

The tournament attracts junior golfers from top colleges and universities across Europe, as well as individual players.

The Atlantic Youth Trophy is an event that also brings together some of the best junior golfers. The tournament format consists of four days of stroke play at Penha Longa Golf Resort on the same course as the Portuguese Intercollegiate Open.

Both tournaments provide young golfers with a unique opportunity to showcase their skills on an international stage. The events are a great way for young golfers to gain exposure and experience competing against top-level competition. Additionally, the tournaments provide an opportunity for golfers to form new friendships and connections with players from different countries and cultures.
