The first day of the Triple A World Series European Invitational at Real Club de Sotogrande can be sum up as a day opening up challenge and opportunity for the young golfers. All honoured to compete in this prestigious and very exclusive venue, the difficult weather conditions have been spicing up their skills. Strong wind followed their path throughout the day and although any golfer will tell you “Facing the elements is part of the game” this condition has added up a real challenge.

 

In the boys’ category, the first day of the tournament showcased fierce competition.

The leader of the pack after day one was Pelayo PEREZ, finishing the day with a score of 71. Hot on his heels, Leon SEDLITZ, who demonstrated his prowess with a score of 73, on part with Raffael GUERRERO ARGAIZ securing both their second position.

 

 

In the girls’ category, the leader after day one was Alejandra HERNANDEZ, finishing the day with the score of 75. Hot on his heels, Estelle BERBNER with a score of 76. At the third shared position are Chloe DE VERNER and Niamh O´GRADY both with a score of 77.

 

 

Day two promised to be a thrilling affair as these talented young golfers aimed to secure the title.

As we look ahead to day two, weather conditions seem to be very similar to yesterday which will keep the challenge up there.  It will be fascinating to see how the golfers have been able to take on yesterday learnings and improve their scores.
