The Triple A European Championship, organised by Jason Floyd Golf Academy, came to an exciting end on Friday at La Hacienda Links Golf Course for the boys and girls under 21 categories and under 15 mixed class.
After three days and 54 holes of excellent golf from all participants, Roy Willemsen (Boys u21), Tiphani Knight (Girls u21), and Maria Khristenko (u15 mixed) were announced as the winners of the Triple A European Championship in their respective categories.
Roy won the boys under 21 category on the final hole, after an incredible head to head battle against Roman Pivoda. Roy had an impressive score of -3, closely followed by Roman on -2, while Gonzalo Cuellar finished in third place with a score of level par.
In the girls’ category, the fight for first place lasted until the last few holes of Day 3 as both Tiphani Knight and Siria Ballini battled for the title. Tiphani Knight took the lead in the end with an impressive four birdies in a row from Hole 13 to Hole 16, finishing at -2, followed closely by Siria Ballini with a final score of +1. In third place, Martina Navarro finished with +4.
Maria Khristenko won the under 15 mixed category with a final score of +27 in the Triple A European Championship.
