Triple A European Invitational 2024 is set to take place at the iconic Real Club de Golf Sotogrande from January 31st to February 2nd. 

Continuing the success of last year’s European Invitational, get ready for another impressive showcase of skill on the renowned Robert Trent Jones-designed course at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.

Established in 1964 and envisioned by Robert Trent Jones, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande is one of Europe’s premier par 72 courses. The golf course is just 150 meters from the Mediterranean and has hosted tournaments such as the Nations Cup, one of Amateur golfs most esteemed events with winners including Rory Mcilroy, Sergio Garcia Seline Boutier and Carlota Siganda. It also currently hosts the Estrella Damn Andalucían Masters on the DP Word Tour. Academy’s Triple A Elite, Triple A Junior, and Triple A Future programmes students had the unique opportunity to attend the prestigious 2023 Andalucia Masters.

The course, spanning 6,492 meters, presents a captivating challenge to golfers of all levels. Featuring long tees, wide fairways, and elevated greens, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings, adorned with cork oaks, pine, and palm trees.

Triple A European Invitational 2023 Recap

 

Last year’s European Invitational witnessed exceptional golfing amid challenging weather conditions. The girls’ category saw a dominant performance by Julia Sanchez Morales, securing her victory with a commanding lead. In the boys’ category, Gustav Ordel made history with a record-setting third consecutive win in the Triple A Series.

Triple A Invitational 2024: What to Expect 

As we gear up for the Triple A Invitational 2024, anticipation is high for another thrilling display of talent on the picturesque Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. In the boys’ category, Roy Willemsen, the current leader of the Triple-A World Junior Golf Series Order of Merit, aims to solidify his standing further.

 

 

However, Pivoda, Cuellar, Huainigg, Breede and Sanchez will seek to rise in the order of Merit table. Meanwhile, Ballini and Franzinelli will compete in the Girls’ category in the Triple A European Invitational. Therefore, they will have the upper hand compared to the other eight girls in the top 10 in the Order of Merit table.  

 

 

It is essential to highlight that the qualification criteria for the Triple A Final hold significant importance. The top 45 boys and 15 girls on the Order of Merit table will secure spots in the prestigious Triple A Final. The Final is scheduled to unfold on the San Roque Old Course from April 24 to 26. The stakes are high, and securing a place in this exclusive competition represents a remarkable achievement.
